Bishkek is the capital of sunny Kyrgyzstan. Until recently, this city with the old name Frunze was famous for its famous forest plantations and was often called the Green City, but life is changing, the capital is being intensively built up, Bishkek is growing and more and more trees are being cut down, many old buildings of the Soviet era are being demolished and the once green, well-groomed city is turning into a stone and concrete metropolis. It is a pity that it is not always possible to preserve park and forest areas, shady corners of blooming gardens, huge flower lawns, etc. And yet you can still call the capital green.
The city has an opera and ballet theater named after A. Maldybaev, two drama theaters - the Russian named after Chyngyz Aitmatov and the Kyrgyz named after T. Abdumomunov, the B. Kydykeeva Theater for Youth and Young Audience also operates, and recently many new youth theaters with modern productions have also been created. There are cinemas in the city, among them the most famous – "Ala-Too", "Russia", "Manas"; new private ones have appeared in entertainment and shopping centers.

Bishkek is a cultural and educational center, and the A. Osmonov National Library is located here, as well as more than a hundred regional, city, and district libraries throughout the country since Soviet times. The K. Bayalinov Republican Children's and Youth Library has various free educational centers for youth and children, master classes and lectures on various topics are held to improve the general educational level of the population.

You can write a lot about Bishkek and you can't describe everything, it's better to see this city with your own eyes, walk along the quiet boulevards, wander through the parks, see with your own eyes the oriental bazaars and spontaneous trade on streets remote from the center, get to know and communicate with the townspeople and with visitors from remote villages, visit the sights of the city and explore the streets again to see how the architectural buildings of the past Soviet era and modern times intertwined.
After the collapse of the socialist era, the architecture of the city has stagnated for almost two decades, but recently the rapid construction of high-rise buildings, business centers and shopping and entertainment buildings has begun. The exterior of the city has changed dramatically - there is no clear plan for the architectural appearance of the capital: buildings are built chaotically and without taking into account special safety standards. Multi-storey structures of residential buildings rise on small plots of land.
