The Issyk Ata Gorge is located in the Chui Valley. The famous Issyk Ata resort is rich in hot springs. Mineral water helps to heal from many ailments of the body and this health resort has been for more than a century. Arriving here, you can plunge into the hot mineral water in the pool or purchase a ticket and relax after receiving the necessary procedures.

Once upon a time, the Great Silk Road ran through this area and caravans stopped at caravanserais and ancient settlements that existed in this region. This region united communities of Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Christians, Muslims, Tengrians and representatives of many other faiths. Different speech was heard and the culture of numerous peoples was brought to this region, and the local cuisine was enriched with new unprecedented dishes.
But the main dishes of the national cuisine of the locals remained almost unchanged - beshbarmak, kulchatai, kesme, shorpo and many others.

A huge stone with the image of a seated Buddha on lotus petals, which is located on the territory of the resort attracts the attention of researchers, tourists and just the curious. According to scientists, the image on the stone dates back to the 11th century.
There is a belief that the infirm and those in need can seek healing from this stone with the image of the Buddha. It is unknown if there are any healed, but everything around the stone is well maintained and it is neatly fenced, and the image is painted golden. Surely someone has been healed…

The Issyk Ata River flows through the gorge, and the valley is rich in vegetation and wildlife. You can get to two waterfalls, wander around the area, and camp out in tents for the night. For local shepherds, the gorge is a summer jailoo and herds of horses and flocks of sheep are brought to this area to graze until autumn. And there are yurts here where you can get settled in order to improve your health in a kumiss treatment.
Mount Baty (Botvey) is located at a level of around 4000 meters above sea level and is also covered with legends from the past.
