The surroundings of Toktogul are famous for the incredible beauty of the Itagar Gorge. You can drive some distance along a narrow dirt road, but it's better to climb the gorge on foot, in order not to miss the beauty of this fabulous gorge. No wonder this area is considered a favorite for hundreds of locals from the surrounding area, not to mention groups of foreign tourists, mountain climbers, solo rock climbers and many curious guests from around the world. If you are lucky, you may stumble upon rare buildings - a shepherd's dwelling or a yurt camp. In summer, guests and tourists set up many yurts and tents here.

It is better to come for a day or two or more to soak up the aromas of high-altitude firs and juniper, the spicy air. But the pearl of the gorge is considered to be the magnificent charming beauty of Lake Saz-Kel. The surface of the beautiful lake is so clear that the mountains, fir trees, sky and sun are reflected in the water like in a mirror.

The lake shimmers with iridescent glare of sunlight, forming a surface of all colors and shades, and it is such an indescribable sight that you freeze in front of such beauty and admire the unique masterpieces of the Creator. The whole blessed valley leads a person into an inexpressible delight and adults turn into children, running through the valley from overflowing feelings.

Horses, cows, sheep and goats graze freely in such a high-altitude jailoo. It's great that there are still such places untouched by civilization. In this area, I want to stay and live among the wild nature: virgin forests, near a mountain crystal lake, not far from murmuring streams, inhaling the healing crystal-clear air at the foot of the guardian mountains and understand that the spirit of the ancient Kyrgyz nomads has been preserved in the descendants since we came here.
