Views in Kok Jaiyk valley, a bit further from the main road
Through the picturesque gorge, on foot, by bike or by car, you can walk or drive to the fertile Kok-Jaiyk valley. A place of such indescribable beauty that those who have visited once will definitely come back again, because fascinated by the natural beauty, they will not be able to forget their impressions of the amazing mountain-coniferous landscapes and impressive paintings of meadow flowers, emerald grass, from the sight of herds of horses, numerous flocks of sheep, herds of cows.

This is one of the most picturesque jailoos, where shepherds come to summer. They install yurts, unpretentious buildings, paddocks and everything that is necessary for a family's summer home.

And with the development of guest tourism in Kyrgyzstan, anyone can see this wonderful area. And for half a century now, there has been a steady stream of visitors and travelers, mountaineers and ethnographers, tourists and scientists, because these places are of interest to everyone. And for the locals, this is a generous pasture, because the meadows have an abundance of various grasses, many useful plants, but above all, juicy grass for grazing livestock. And therefore, from April to May, those who want to heal from diseases, improve their health, and just get some fresh air come here. After all, it is at this time that you can drink mare's milk, which has the healing property of healing many ailments.
Yurt camp in Kok Jaiyk
The many yurts installed in the valley, as they were thousands of years ago, remind people that almost nothing has changed in the mountains for nomads - the same way of life and traditions, except for the availability of electricity, cellular communications and other gadgets. But in our modern times, many guest buildings, wooden yurts, and hotels with comfortable rooms and facilities, even with hot water, have been built.

Staying in such a place with such comfort corresponds to the set price, because there are no city supermarkets and bazaars nearby - everything is brought from afar. But it's worth it to stay in such picturesque silence, and not only foreigners, but also locals rush here, at least for a day or two, or even more. Living in a coniferous forest among snowy mountains, with natural coniferous aromatherapy and the smells of blooming greenery is a fairy tale that not everyone can afford.
