The Kyzart Pass is located at an altitude of approximately 2,700 meters above sea level. Through this pass you can get from Kochkor valley to Jumgal valley and just beyond the pass there is a village of the same name.

The Kyzart Pass is the starting point for the route to the Son Kul mountain lake and Tuz Ashuu pass. Tourism has been one of the main industries in this area recently, and local residents have been actively working in this direction: they have begun to build comfortable guest houses for tourists, which provide everything for a good rest for guests - conditions, national flavor and Kyrgyz cuisine.

Until a few years ago, the stay of foreigners in remote villages was perceived by locals as a kind of exotic. Kyrgyz people were surprised and curious to see guests from distant countries who expressed interest and desire to see their way of life in the mountains, having traveled a considerable distance. But demand dictates supply, and now no one will be surprised by the appearance of foreigners in their native land, on the contrary, the local population is hospitable, offering a variety of services from staying in yurts and guest houses to selling handicrafts made of various materials, national souvenirs made of felt, they arrange horseback riding and various national demonstrations.

What is familiar to locals may seem unusual to guests, so Kyrgyz people will be happy to share their knowledge of cooking nomadic meals, making traditional bread - boorsok, and favorite dishes of Kyrgyz cuisine; they can tell and show how they made rugs from felt; and if guests are lucky, they will also show national games-competitions held on large national events.
