We descend from Too Ashuu pass and we enter the fertile valley of Suusamyr.

Here and there the yurts are white, like giant mushrooms. By the way, Suusamyr is famous for its abundance of various mushrooms, but the locals do not collect them - the Kyrgyz have never been lovers and connoisseurs of mushrooms, maybe because even avid mushroom pickers can make mistakes, not to mention others. Or maybe it's because the mushrooms have never been in the local diet at all. Since ancient times, the cuisine of the nomads has been famous for a rich variety of meat dishes.

In Suusamyr, you can taste the original national cuisine. There are many yurts along the route and different types of kuruts are sold nearby (with red and black pepper, with various additives, already classic, pure white is becoming almost a rarity), sea buckthorn, sour-milk products - they are of the highest quality here, because the fertile valley is the best jailoo for horse herds, sheep flocks; the most beautiful pasture for livestock- cows, goats. Here you can also taste real Kyrgyz besh-barmak, kuurdak, gulchatai, oromo, kattama and dozens more different dishes.

On the road you also can find some good honey from local beekeepers. In spring and summer, the Suusamyr Valley is an open–air kumiss spa surrounded by snowy mountains. The natural health resort does not need any advertising, it is enough to visit the valley once, you will want to come here again and again. Everything is nearby - mountains, rivers, jailoos and guest yurts where you can stay overnight, there are also special hotels and guest houses.
